The American patent-protected box spring system consists of a wooden box with a spring system, the so-called ‘box’, and a mattress with ‘springs’, the spring core. Originally from America, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries, the multi-mattress system offers optimum air circulation as well as a particularly comfortable entry and exit height. In the LUIZ box spring system, the box consists of a hard fibre board with a stable plywood frame. A 5 cm high mini barrel pocket spring core, which is padded with felt and high-quality quilted ticking, provides a flexible, point-elastic spring base, which is available in three versions.

The comfort box is manually adjustable in the head and foot area.
